Under NO circumstances should you use this company. ZERO STARSWe had requested a 200 amp services from them only to have installers put in a 100 amp service with a very small fuse panel, we wouldn’t have even known what they were doing had we not over heard the two guys talking. Winnipeg Hydro workers even had a work order that they showed me to run 200 amp service to the home. According to the owner of the company they don’t request a specific level of service from Winnipeg Hydro, two other electrical companies have told me that you do have to tell them the level of service you want.In addition to problem with the level of service they also left a mess in my basement, the old meter has been left uncovered, and there is a large wire hanging out from where they ran the ground wire.Attempts to resolve this via the BBB only resulted in insulting accusations from Slotin’s Electricals’ owner.

We had a specialty electrical switch that was acting up. Had no clue what to do so we got a hold of Kent. He came out and troubleshoot the issue, the switch was toast. He ended up doing a special order as the local electrical shops didn’t carry such a switch. Kent came back out to replace it. It worked perfect and his charges were very reasonable. I would highly recommended using Kent again.

Good communications during entire project. All workers were friendly and answered all my questions during the install. Would definitely recommend. Only caution is that I would highly recommend any trenching work (if needed for your install) not be done with snow on the ground. Backfilling of trench is really hard to do right the first time with snow mixed with soil.

We had a very poor experience with this company.We contracted Shordee for a 6 hour electrical repair at our farm. The electrician arrived on time and did a good job as far as we could tell. I assisted him in moving our tractor so he had space to work, providing lighting and turning the heat up in our shop while he did his work. He left and all was well.The work was completed on a Monday and we waited a few days for the invoice which arrived on Wednesday. I work out of town and my wife works at the hospital completing surgeries so we could not review the invoice immediately. I received a call from the office less than 48 hours after receiving the invoice somewhat rudely demanding payment. I explained that my wife keeps the credit card and she is in surgery during your office hours so it would have to wait until her next day off which was Monday. I explained to the woman that it is unusual to demand payment so soon and she said we would be hearing from the CEO" then.Within 30 seconds I received a call from the "CEO" demanding explanation for why I am not paying them for their work. I explained that I have every intention to pay but could not pay this instant because my wife was in surgery and she can't drop everything to pay them. I explained that we would of happily paid on site but they didn't have a POS system so they use the invoice method. I asked the "CEO" why he was so concerned about collecting payment so soon after I received the invoice. He said he has dealt with people like me for 16 years not wanting to pay them for work they completed. Needless to say I took offense to this because I had full intentions to pay them but needed more then 24 hours to arrange the payment which isn't unusual in my eyes. I then reminded the CEO that I have used them before to do 100% of the electrical when I built my house 5 years ago which was a invoice worth probably $30

Bruno relocated a light source in my garage. He was on time, very professional, knowledgeable and provided insightful ideas. Very honest, no nonsense electrician and a great guy to discuss ideas about future projects. I highly recommend Bruno if you are looking for an electrician with A LOT of experience. I will be calling him again.
